What it tracks

Your dividend income, in one place.

What you've been paid

Every dividend and fund distribution received, by month and by holding, from your statements or entered by hand.

What's coming next

A 12-month calendar of upcoming payments. Ones the company or fund has declared are marked separately from estimates. Part of Builder, free for your first 30 days.

Income per year and per month

Projected annual income, income per month, and the yield on what your holdings are worth today.

Yield on cost

The same income measured against what you paid, so you can see it rise as distributions grow.

Dividend reinvestment

Set cash, fractional or whole-share reinvestment for each holding. Reinvested shares carry into the next payment.

Every account, one view

Brokerage, 401(k), IRA and Roth IRA accounts each have a type. See income for one account, or all of them added together.

How it works

From statement to income in minutes.

  1. Add your accounts

Name each account and choose its type, so your 401(k), IRA, Roth IRA and brokerage accounts stay separate.

  2. Bring in your history

Upload statements, CSV exports or screenshots, or add trades by hand. You review every row before it's saved. Not sure where to find your export? See how to export from your broker.

  3. Read your income

Prices and dividends update after each market close. The Income tab shows what you've received and what's due.

Instead of a spreadsheet

Spreadsheet dividend trackers need you to keep them current.

A Google Sheets or Excel tracker is free and flexible, but every payment, price and reinvestment is yours to type and check.

Nimblewit reads your statements, updates prices and dividends after the close, and recalculates income, cash and returns whenever you change a trade.

If you love your spreadsheet, you can export all of your data from Nimblewit at any time.

Questions about dividend tracking.

What is a dividend tracker?

A dividend tracker records the dividends and fund distributions you receive, shows when the next ones are due, and adds them up so you can see your income. Nimblewit does this across every account you hold, in one view.

Is there a free dividend tracker?

Yes. The Starter plan is free and covers 2 accounts and 10 holdings, including the dividends you have received. The 12-month expected income calendar is part of Builder, which every new account gets free for 30 days with no card.

Does it work with 401(k)s, IRAs and brokerage accounts?

Yes. Each account has a type (brokerage, 401(k), Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA, HSA, 529, joint and more) and income is shown for all of them together or one at a time. Nimblewit shows the income each account receives. It does not calculate taxes.

How are expected dividends estimated?

From each holding's payment history and any payments the company or fund has already declared. Estimates are clearly marked until they're paid, and your statements always win if they differ. Projected income assumes recent payments continue, so it is an illustration, not a forecast.

Does it handle dividend reinvestment (DRIP)?

Yes. You choose how each holding is reinvested: cash, fractional shares or whole shares. Reinvested shares count toward the next payment, so reinvestment compounds in the projection.

Do I have to link my brokerage account?

No. You bring in statements, CSV exports or screenshots, or add trades by hand, and review everything before it's saved. Nimblewit never asks for your brokerage or bank password.
