Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Nimblewit (https://nimblewit.app), operated by Nimblewit, based in Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using Nimblewit, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What Nimblewit is
Nimblewit is a record-keeping and analysis tool for tracking your own investment accounts. It is not a brokerage, bank or financial advisor. It does not hold money or securities, place trades, or connect to your accounts to move funds.
2. Not financial advice
Everything Nimblewit shows — values, returns, benchmarks, allocations, observations and projections — is general information calculated from the data you provide. It is not investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Make your own decisions, and speak to a licensed professional who knows your full situation before acting.
3. Accuracy
Figures depend on the transactions you record and on third-party market prices, which can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Some values (such as fund look-through weights) are estimates. Always check important numbers against your official broker statements, which remain the authoritative record.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give accurate information, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Your data
You own the portfolio data you put into Nimblewit. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide the service to you. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask for a copy of your data or for your account to be deleted at any time.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service — for example by trying to access other people’s data, interfering with its operation, reverse-engineering it to harm it, uploading malicious files, or using it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability and changes
Nimblewit is under active development. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may update, suspend or discontinue it, and will give reasonable notice where we can so you can export your data.
8. Ending your use
You may stop using Nimblewit and ask for your account to be deleted at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
9. Disclaimer
Nimblewit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment, trading or financial decision you make, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Nimblewit is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Ontario, unless consumer protection law in your province gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Nimblewit after that means you accept the new terms.
