Nimblewit vs Wealthica

A Wealthica alternative built around your income

Wealthica links your accounts through bank and broker feeds, and syncing them takes a paid plan. Nimblewit works from your own statements, so there is nothing to disconnect, and it is built around the things investors check most: dividends, distributions, what is coming next and whether they are on track.

Why people switch

What people say about Wealthica, and what Nimblewit does instead.

Feeds that stop updating

Reviewers report sync errors and accounts that need re-linking, so the numbers are only as current as the connection. Wealthica reviews on Trustpilot

With Nimblewit

Nimblewit has no feed to break. Your trades come from statements you import, you review every row, and prices and dividends update after each market close.

Paying to connect accounts

The free plan covers manual tracking. Syncing accounts needs a Connect plan, which lists 3 accounts for $50 a year, or Unlimited Connect at $75. Wealthica pricing

With Nimblewit

Nimblewit Starter is free, and Builder is CA$49 a year for 5 accounts and 50 holdings, with the income calendar included.

Features locked behind higher tiers

Reviewers say much of the app sits behind paid plans, and the top tiers run $150 and $250 a year. Wealthica on the App Store

With Nimblewit

Nimblewit's free plan already shows dividends received, returns and allocation. Builder adds the 12-month income calendar, and Planner adds planning tools and custom benchmarks.

What you get

Built for the investor who wants to see the income.

Income you can see and plan around

Dividends and distributions have their own tab: what you have been paid, a 12-month calendar of declared and estimated payments, projected annual income, and yield on cost.

Reinvestment that compounds

Set cash, fractional or whole-share reinvestment for each holding. Reinvested shares count toward the next payment, so projections grow the way your portfolio does.

Planning tools

On Planner, the Planning tab projects your portfolio and income with your own ages, withdrawal rate and scenarios. It is an illustration, not advice.

Nothing to disconnect

You bring in statements, CSV files or screenshots and review every row before it is saved. There are no bank feeds to drop and no logins to share, and your own records always win over estimates.

Built for registered accounts

TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, RESP and non-registered accounts are treated correctly, including US withholding by account type. Your data is stored in Canada.

Room to grow, at a fair price

A free plan to start, 5 accounts on Builder at CA$49 a year, and no limits on Planner. Real benchmarks, with your own on Planner.

Common questions.

Is there a free alternative to Wealthica?

Nimblewit's Starter plan is free for 2 accounts and 10 holdings and includes dividends received, returns and allocation. Every new account also gets Builder free for 30 days with no card.

Does Nimblewit connect to my brokerage like Wealthica?

No. You bring in statements, CSV exports or screenshots, or add trades by hand, and review every row before it is saved. That means there is no connection to drop and nothing to log in to.

How do I move from Wealthica?

Export your transactions from your broker, or from Wealthica where it offers an export, and import the file. Spreadsheets in a recognised layout are read in your browser, and every row is shown for review first.

Where is my data stored?

Nimblewit's portfolio data is stored in Canada. Some service providers it relies on, such as the web host and the service that reads uploaded statements, may process requests outside Canada. The privacy policy lists each one.
